Default sparkplug issues

has anyone ever had a spark plug get blown out of the hole on one of these cars? the threads are stripped on a spark plug like the piston hit it and blew it out. i havent tried to put a new spark plug in yet because the coil pack's boot was torn apart. give me some feedback on this issue please. i have to get this resolved. when i cranked the car up it doesnt sound like i have a piston slapping or anything so its weird. i thought i had a blown lower intake gasket but noise i heard was air coming out of the spark plug hole. car is forsale cheap. 10K as is.

that is a regular happening on the 03/04 cobras due to the 4 thread spark plug hole... the revised ones have 9 threads. You can have it fixed and put a new plug in it with out spending to much money.

If you change your own spark plugs did you tighten them to spec, or did you use German torque lol? After awhile the stress on the over tightened threads just cant hold and they blow out.

10k? Ill be there tomorrow lol. How many miles?

To help prevent blow-out, don't over tighten the plugs, don't tighten them while the engine is warm (as the engine cools they will get tighter). If you don't use anti-seize it is possible to gall the threads when removing the plugs if they have been in for a while.

i though that was one of the issues that was addressed in to with the 03/04 snake heads? i though i read that ford added more threads to help reduce the chance of that happening? anyways, overtightened plugs will destroy those threads.
