Question DROPPING A 99 COBRA

If I drop my 99 cobra 1.5 inches, do I need new shocks or struts? I'm getting several different opinions. Thanks.

No, but you should get adjustable caster cambers as a car lowered more than 1" can easily get their caster settings knocked out. My 95 has that issue, but it's lowered 2", but it's still on stock shocks and they're doing fine.

How many miles on your stock shocks/struts? They'd probably be fine for a while, but if you've got the money to do it while you've got the IRS down, might as well.

Will your shocks/struts work? Yes!
Will they wear out quicker? Yes!
When I get new shocks and struts should I get ones that are made for lowered cars? Yes
