Default just a quick question.

i have a 4.6 short block outta a 96 cobra abd i was wondering what is a fair price to ask for it? cuz i have someone wanting to buy it i said $600 and they are trying to talk me down but idk lol thanks for any feed back!

depending on the condition of the motor, 600 seems fair for a decent shape motor. If its completely screwed up or something then obviously it will take more money to get it running= less money to buy if from you.

How many miles is the big question, also, fully assembled with wiring harness, just the block with internals, need to know what's on it. I've seen N/A Cobra engines on ebay (unrebuilt), sell for over $1000 with decent miles, some as high as $2000.

its a short block meaning teskid block cobra crank forged rods and forged pistons

i thought it was a stock shortblock out of a 96? didn't think they had forged rods/pistons

Yea, all teksid blocks have is a forged crank.

If it's a stock shortblock I'd say $500-600 isn't bad. Just the teksid blocks will sell for $300-400. It would be a really great starting point with the forged crank and aluminum block. All you'd need is forged pistons and rods to have a pretty damn stout shortblock setup for not that much money.

$600 area sounds like a fair $$$ for that block!
