Default 97 cobra stall possible knock problems

So I've had my 97 cobra for about 3 months or so.

About a week ago I go to start her, and all I hear is a click (doesn't even try to turn over) and all power to the car is gone. Try to jump it but cant build up enough of a charge to get it to turn over. I run it up to autozone and get them to test the battery and they say its good. The test charges it, so i take it back and try it again, and she starts right up. I get them to check the alternator the next day and they say its fine, and the starter came back good too. I drive it for a few more days with no trouble. She even did a 7 hour 500mile drive with no problems at all.

Cut to yesterday, I'm driving to the dmv to register my motorcycle. pull into the turn lane, apply the brakes, and the brakes feel weak, check the dash, car stalled. start her back up, she fights to fire up but after a few tries starts. i pull into the parking lot, and now i hear what sounds like a knock. (I've never heard a knock before so I'm not 100% but I can't think of anything else it could be)

I've run it for codes and the only thing that came up was something about the obd test not being complete. I had to set the idle way up to keep it from stalling at every stoplight, but the knock is whats really worrying me.

car is a 5speed by the way.

Its got about 106,000 or so on the odo which i think is too early to be having issues like this. As far as i know, the motor is 100% stock. It's had a basic stc flash, but not a real tune. it also has a cattless exhaust, and after market trans, but i dont think either of those are causing my problems

has anyone else had anything similar happen? or have any ideas as to what it could be.

It's your battery cable dude. It all likelihood, it's corroded or not making good contact to the battery terminal. If it's loosing the ground cable, it will cause your symptoms.
