hey all, i am purchasing an 03 cobra to go with my new S281-3v saleen. Needs to be brought over to the UK
and im wanting it tuned to at least 500rwhp before it leaves the states. The SLP package is priced well at under $3k
and promises 575fwhp. Has anyone had any positive/negative encounters with this pack? Are there any problems regarding the engine
when using this pack? If i decide to just get the car and have a kenne bell fitted will i need to change anything else in the engine to accomodate the new s/c?

muscle mustangs mag just did a slp upgrade on 04 cobra and they got 459 rwhp and 480 lb-ft of torque. (september 05) slp claims that they have achieved results in the 485-500 range on their superflow dynamometer. muscle mustangs used Lamotta's dynojet in orlando, florida.
i basically did the same thing using steeda parts and i am very happy w/ the upgrade. when doing a supercharger swap, obviously you will need a tune, and upgrade your fuel system. the kenne bell is a beast, but remember, whipple is backed by ford. just a thought...

 

The SLP kit is great. It's a really good bang for the buck buy. When/if you get a kenne bell you will need a new tune, and a fuel system like mentioned above. There are other things too but kenne bell supplies them. Go over to svtperformance.com, there's really great guys over there that know a ton about cobras. Thats where you need to be. Good luck!
