1996 cobra want 300 rwhp
Intake (JLT or C&L) seem to show the best gains, Catback, Straight thru muffler design show best gains I've seen (Such as Borla, Bassani, Magnaflow), Midpipe x-pipe, (Catted or off-road) your choice, Dyno Tune. See what kind of numbers it lays down and go from there. Stay away from "BBK" products, they make cheap crap. Also "Pypes" brand has some fitment issues I've seen.
as i mentioned in your other thread any intake worth a damn will get in the way of your strutt tower brace. You can find aftermarkerts that will fit but they will either give you no gain or possibly even lose power, the stock design is pretty good.
My suggestion to you is buy some cushman stg 2 N/A cams , valvesprings/gears/exhaust Probably around $2000 total and will make your car a HELL of alot of fun without destroying streetability and you will still be fine on your stock fuel system/tranny/rear(no promises if u leave on slicks lol).

Going into your heads is going to cost you a lot more than $2 with cams. Especially if you're not doing the work. Besides, on an NA set up, cams really don't do that much on the 4v cars... The 1996 Cobra's already have decent cams, better than the 99-01's...
very slightly better, If you are doing the work it won't cost you $2000 lol yeah if you're not it will so i guess i shouldn't of assumed you would be cams + valvesprings = $1600. Labor is free if its in your garage. Probably would run slightly more than $2 with gears n a cheap exhaust.

You don't need to get in the heads to get 300 rwhp... There's an easy way, and there's a hard way. I picked the easy way myself, but here's the breakdown:
Easy way: Nitrous
Hard way: Full bolt ons. You'll need long tube headers, a good intake, pulleys, full exhaust, a good tune, and you'll more than likely need a shortrunner intake.
