Keyless entry
I just joined so i hope i am posting correctly. Here is my problem.I recently bought a 2001 cobra. I need to program a new fob. Car will not go into program mode. Have done the key on/off every which way according to owners manual. Is there a module that controls this that could be bad? If so where would it be located.
I have been trying to research this i think it is called a rap module. This is what controls keyless entry i think. As for ford that is last resort. I probably will just be told to take it to shop to have diagnosed. I do have one working keyfob that i got with the car but this thing looks like it has seen better days. Not much familiar with modern vehicle technology. Just sold the 83 gt for the 01 cobra. The 83 no computer no nothing. So I sit and read the forums learning what I can

Car does have keyless entry. I do have one beat up working keyfob. Like I stated earlier I have tried the 8 times on/off but the door locks never cycle and car will not enter program mode. It is very hard for me to believe that any cobra came without keyless entry. I would assume that this was standard equipment considering what the car is and how much it cost.
