Default Picked up the Cobra..

My brother who is overseas recently bought a '03 Terminator, and asked me to pick it up. So I go to the dealership and drive it home. Well, first thing I noticed was the shifter **** was different than I had seen in previous Cobra's, but I just thought the previous owner just replaced the shifter ****. I try to shift to reverse, and on a 6 speed, reverse is to the right and up, but it wasnt in this case, it was to the right and down and that means it is a 5 speed transmission. to my knowledge, the Terminator Mustang is a 6 speed correct? I also notice at higher RPMs / 5th gear, a loud sound that sounds like air or something coming from the transmission, and makes a weird clunking sound, and the center console is loose and makes a lot of annoying noise, and the stock radio head unit is missing. MY brother bought this car for 14k, and from my experience with the vehicle, im thinking the previous owner did something with the vehicle, because the center console is loose, and it has a 5 speed transmission that makes a loud sound at high speed/RPMs and at 5th gear. Other than that, its a beautiful car, and is very powerful and fast. What do you guys think about the transmission? why is it making the weird noise, and what could cause the center console to be loose?

heres some pics of the Cobra:

That car just looks thrown together. At first i thought it was a 99 or 01 Cobra, not because of the body parts (those are Termi parts) but because of the center console. It looks like the 99 Cobra center console that doesn't have Mach 460 sound.

But, i can see what looks like an intercooler through the front bumper so my best guess is its at least supercharged.

Also, the tailpipes look small to me. IDK, this car smells dirty, but for 14k maybe its worth it

I have to agree.
Was it in a major wreck?

That is the most mistreated "cobra" I have seen in some time.... I call BS on it even being one.
There was no such thing as a 5-speed transmission SVT Cobra in 2003.....
6-speed T-56 manual, only.

Amber rear turn signals = Either a 99 or 01 Cobra. The 5 speed tranny also says that... BUT, I DO see 03/04 Cobra interior and the Body is 03/04. My guess? I really don't know. If you are in Phoenix, let me check it out. I live in Phoenix. That car looks like it's been beat to **** though...
