Default Different exhaust recomendations?

Well a while back i decided to put a O/R x pipe and some magnaflows on my 03 cobra. It does sound really good, BUT i guess i just want a change. Is there any certain company that gives the deeper sounding exhaust? Mine is very loud which is fine, but it seems to be a higher muscle car pitch if that makes any sense. ive listened to some on youtube and i can tell suttle variations in them but i would rather have some input for people using them.

These are the pipes i run atm

Kim's Cobra has a 3" dia. Dynomax Ultra Flo CB!! (Jeg's sells the kit) ...Sounds amazing with the O/R!!! ....I've also have never seen another Cobra with this CB exhaust!

...I still like my Flowmasters on the DSG ... and they sound REALLY good now that I've slid off the cats from the Bassani X

how about changing your x pipe to an h that would lower it and give a good sound

i heard this also, another person recomended headers, but to be honest i dont really want to drop that much on headers atm. I may try a H pipe out since thats more in my ballpark.

Yeah, H pipe will cause you to loose all of 1-3 rwhp, however your tone won't be as high pitched/raspy. Magnaflows, however, do carry a louder higher pitched tone than other muffler brands as they're closer to a straight trough design rather than a chambered design like flowmasters.

SLP catted x-pipe w/Magnaflow catback, sounds awesome.

Planning on running Mac LT's, Lethal catted-x, and Magnaflow catback later down the road.

An O/R H-pipe will cure the high pitch and result in a lower frequency sound. As mentioned above, a set of chambered mufflers would go real nice with an H-pipe. If you want to reduce the sound level a little bit, use Flowmaster 50 series mufflers (3 chambers). The sound is still definitely the clasic Flowmaster, but the sound level is reduced a little. The 3 chamber mufflers flow exactly as well as 2 chamber mufflers.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
