Upgrade to a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch!
Do us all a favor and tell us WHY the OP should upgrade an entire clutch system for a failing TOB. Why is that? a Ford Racing TOB off Lethal Performance is something around 67 bucks....a "centerforce dual friction clutch" which you so appropriately mention in every single one of your spamming posts is what, 450 doll-hairs? Should he swap out his suspension for an "Eibach Pro-kit" and swap out his gears for 3.73s too? Theres a big difference between throwing an idea/opinion out there and pointing people down the wrong path.

OP - Don't listen to this clueless @$$hole. I experienced the same problem with a ticking clutch back in September of this year. It was indeed my TOB that literally incinerated. I bought a FRPP TOB off of Lethal Performance (60-70 bucks, I can't remember exactly how much). Feel free to check out my thread titled "This Clutch is a B*tch". UBER helped me through the entire process and HUGE PROPS goes out to Uber, someone who actually knows these cars. My clutch was not slipping, therefore, I didn't replace the clutch. I threw the new TOB in there and it has been perfect since. Best of luck getting it sorted out man!

Well, now that it has been beaten to death and I am a little late. Sounds like your TOB. I just replaced mine a couple of hundred miles ago because that along with the retainer sleeve was destroyed. I purchased the FRPP TOB and Lethal retainer sleeve for $167 and did not replace the clutch, there was no reason, it was not slipping and only had 16k miles on it. Besides, these cars are not that difficult to work on, dropping the trans was a lot easier than I though it was going to be....

haha i swear hes a centerforce dealer lol... but my advice is to get the frpp one cause alot of companys make some cheap ones that will blow apart in a few hundred miles!! as far as clutchs dont overdue the clutch you dont need to get one that rated for 500hp for a 300hp car...dual friction like my spec clutch is nice if you have some extreme power but for normal stock cars its not needed....i wouldnt expect a napa clutch to last all that long lol but it works for the time being i guess lol

Since the guy above will have to take everything apart just to replace
a simple throwout bearing he mite as well install a better clutch like
the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch.I Know a few guys that have
smoked the FRPP Cobra clutch with 200 rwhp lol.
This theory would work if it was a cheaper part, but replace a 400+$ part just cause it is apart and isn't broke is a waste.
