Default Does the IRS make the Terminator impossible to launch??

Hey guys. Like many, the Terminator Cobra is my dream car...however I have heard that the IRS makes it difficult to launch, but is it impossible? Or, is there a third answer, like you can only launch at lower RPM's or something tricky like that?? I would want to track it every now and then, and red light races are always fun, so I don't want a car that can't launch. I just need to know before I put down $20k, and I could have gotten a Mach for cheaper. I'm a Mustang noob, so be gentle.

Thanks.

I have no problem launching and my power numbers are in my sig. Great tires and IRS bushings work wonders

I've cut 1.80's with Nitto DR's ... and I've seen guys cut in the high 1.5's with the ET Streets!

I would not be launching a terminator on a stock IRS setup, but that's just me.

not a stock setup...so that means that just the better tires and the bushings make it safe to launch?

Yes, add a IRS brace to the list. These cars can handle a beating.

ya these guys got it all right once you start hittin serious number have slicks and are doing rev lim drops is when you should think of a major overhaul...its not that they dont launch they just tend to break if you add alot more power then what its setup for just like everything!!

i never launched mine in stock form but in the spring i plan on launching from no less than 5500 rpm. i also am in the process of completely rebuilding and replacing everything in the rear end and going with a bias ply slick
