Default Will I need a Tune?

I have a custom tune on my '03 cobra motor with a stock eaton (more details in signature).

I'm thinking of porting the eaton, and have a couple of questions. Assuming I'm good on fuel, and knowing that the port may increase boost a little and reduce IAT2, will I need a tune.

Will tables on the tune that look at IAT2 and MAF continue to work with a ported blower with no changes or will I be looking at tuning the computer again after I get it ported?

You MUST get it tuned again.

I like the gears the way they are actually. Interested in road racing / PDX events and I want to be able to get to 150 on a straight in 4th. Moved from 4.10's in the rear and on street tires I couldn't get much traction until 3rd gear.

Can anyone explain why I need a new tune, want to learn about it more. My basic understanding right now is that the MAF tables control how much fuel goes in, and as air flow increases it should add more fuel. As long as the MAF is in the right range it should continue to work no matter how much boost I run right? Or is there something else that I'm missing?

I was more thinking on the line of 3.55's or 3.73's

3.73 FTMFW!! and the MAF only accounts for so much more air flow!! such as you said as long as its in the right table its ok but the port will exceed the capabilities of that table!! after that it ends of gettin to technical and computer for my knowledge!!

Sooo...I'd like to see your hood.

And what makes you think your A/F ratio will be good after you port your blower? Tune it.
