I have a 96 cobra and its been giving me engine codes p0411 and p1143. i looked online and cant find those codes as ford obd II codes. P1143 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Lean Shift Monitoring Bank 1, does that mean i just need a new o2 sensor in that bank? and P0411 - Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected, new smog/air pump? whats the best course of action here? car still runs fine no hesitation or loss of power. just the check engine light.

ya dude i would just replace both front O2 sensors easy fix!! as far as the other code idk never had that code on any job before

yeah thats too easy, ive read that its common for water to get into the air pump and cause problems, other than the air pump itself could there be anything else that could cause the air pump to not function properly? perhaps a valve or solenoid or somthing?

hmm like i said im not completely sure cause nobody i know has ever has this code but i feel like the reason for that is they all deleted there smog crap...there very well known for going bad and most ppl just delete it!! ive just never seen the code for it

ok, that sounds like a better idea just delete it all together. i had an 87 GT that went through 3 smog pumps. its ridiculous. thanks for the advice.

I delelted my air pump, "secondary air injection" as its know. Cleans up alot of crap under the hook including all the plumbing and check valves that attach to the manifolds.
