Default Advice Please

Hi,

Need professional advice. I'm looking into buying a 2003 cobra 10th anniversary edition. Car is beautiful but has 1100,000 miles. Only mods are chip/ pulley/ exhaust/ intake/heat exchanger. Asking price is $11,000. With this being said, what are your thoughts. Would it be a bad/good idea to buy a cobra with this many miles?

Thank you!

i assume that is 100k miles not 1 mil...seems sorta cheap for 100k they usually go for round 13 14 with that many miles...just gotta make sure the maintenece is done correctly make sure it was beat into the group and so on...thats the hard part with these cars is that there really strong and can last forever if you take care of it but alot of dumb@$$ people like to beat the living crap outta it and not take car of it...i would be very careful!!!

Could be a good car for the price. Take it for a test drive, try to feel it really well, if there is something wrong, you'll probably be able to feel it or hear it.

Lotta miles on it, find out how many owners, and how long it has been pullied if possible. With that many miles its probably getting close to a rebuild time. Of course this isnt always the case but... a 100k+ mile pullied cobra... you know its been beat on at least alittle. Find out some details about how long its been pullied and where its lived its life. Could have been owned by tons of people and moved around from other states with snow/ice ect.

IMO just spend the extra money and buy a low mileage one, plenty still out there.

Yeah, I just saw an 04 convertible with 11k miles that showed up at Carmax in Indiana. And it sold in 1 day! Someone jumped on that fast...

Yeah, I think it cheaper because it needs a new ABS control module. But the car is in great condition surprisingly! Its even the original owner.

Great! thanks. The miles scare me off a bit. The only reason the price is so low is due to the ABS control module failure. But its the original owner so thats great! So, what should I listen for?
