Default HID's.....confused

So i just installed Hid kits on my fog and headlights. Both work excellent.... but heres my issue i cant figure out. When the headlights are on, the foglights wont come on anymore. Before with the regular bulbs i was able to have both the headlight and foglights on at the same time. I know they both wont be on with high beams on, but im talking about low beam. Fog lights will work just fine when the *** is pulled 1 spot out, when its pulled 2 spots out the fogs go off and headlights come on. I checked the button inside the car and its on. Unsure what im doing wrong? did i install some wires backwards? The fogs seemed to be extreamly straight forward with only 2 wires going into 2 slots. where the headlight setup had 3 spots, with only 2 wires. Should i add my own in the 3rd spot?

car is a 03 cobra in case that matters any.

i havent yet done my fogs on mine i will sometime in the next 2 weeks but on my 01 it worked just fine i wonder if there is something wrong with your switch...its really strange that it would go out i cant see any reason why except a switch unless the HID isnt happy with the lower power it gets when the low beams are on...

sorry i couldnt help more man thats just strange just go over everything and double check it all even things that you know you got still check lol

your wires you did for the headlights are not right. you have them wired to work with the high beam. switch them around some, check it WITH the fogs on. shouldnt take long to find the right combo. any more probs pm me and ill go snap a pic of mine for ya.

arent your hids just plug and play snap right into your existing plug or do you actually have to splice your headlights ?!

they snap right into mine BUT you have to connect the red and black wire into a plastic plug and then install it to the stock plug. there are 3 holes for the wires, thats where his problem is.

i figured it out. I tried switching the wires around and it didnt want to work so i just wired them to each other so when the headlights come on so do the fogs. Since i run them both at night together anyways, i dont mind them both always being on together.
