Default Cobra Turbo

Thoughts?

I'm usually very weary of anything on ebay but this one seems pretty legit. Price seems cheap however quality doesn't seem bad.

Looks like you'll be in the thereabouts of $3500+ when all is said and done.

Still a pretty decent price for a turbo system.

O3P is no 'noname' brand. I'd get the larger turbo and go for it!!

I've had great luck buying on eBay. This looks like a nice setup, but I wonder how much turbo lag will affect the mustang.

I think for the money those kits arnt bad at all. Ive never tried them but i know 2 people using them running more boost that that one claims and they have held up ok. It does require probably 1,000 more in parts to complete keep in mind, they do at least list what you will need along with the kit. Bottom line as you said above, i think its a good deal for the money.

Yeah I found a lot of older post from 2009 and 2010 about this turbo when it first came out and people with zero experience bashed it but people with it seemed to really like them.

Now they actually have a full fledged website and seem more legit. Their prices are still the same after 2 years.

Yeah from what I've seen you still need a tubular k member and arms, coil over springs, maf, and fuel injectors. I priced all that and it's about $1000 extra in parts so its about a $3000 total unit.

I'm really thinking about getting one but after thinking about it the install is something I don't want to do. I don't mind installing superchargers cause all the work is concentrated in one area. This thing nearly requires you to pull the whole damn car apart including the removal of the engine for the k member install.

I have the money for it but not liking the install. I think I'll pass and just go with a supercharger. I know whats good/bad about them and it won't take 2-3 days if not longer to install.

Yeah 6,000 for a turbo and you still need $1000 in suspension parts, that's just way too much for anything less than a full all out race car. Mine is a daily driver and needs to retain that feel. I want that S/C whine so bad and the only cheap used S/Cs available for pre terminators are centrifugal which are pretty quite.

Oh well guess I'll just wait to buy a terminator. Some stuff has happened and I need to spend about $3000 to restore my 95 Mustang. Need a new Cobra motor assembly, radiator, power steering pump, seats, and a few other small things. May need to start driving that old car again cause my fiance's car is about to crap out and isn't worth fixing. It would cost about half as much to 2/3rds as much to fix her car as it would be to get my 95 working again and my 95 is worth much more.

Remember what the eBay guys said.

"With the correct tune, fuel system upgrades, and supporting mods, the 4.6 motor can respond and last in boosted situation."

So basically it will cost you additional 1-2 Grand.

Otherwise it will be probably worthless and will destroy your engine faster.
