The only newer Mustang I might put before a Terminator is NOT a new GT500, but rather the 2012 Boss. If finances allowed for it, I would consider that one over my Terminator, but not the GT500...
the GT500 vs the Boss is a totally different car and driving style. the GT500 will smoke it in a straight line but take a turn and the Boss is gone.

The Boss may lose (and I'm not even sure it would), but it's certainly no slouch. And it's still N/A, once folks start putting out boost kits for it, imagine what it'll do against a GT500... But I digress from the topic du jour...
But yeah, you're certainly right about them being different driving styles (at least I think you are, as I haven't gotten to drive either one yet ). Handling doesn't matter to some, it's all about the straight line speed times for the track or just for bragging rights. But I love the handling of the Terminator. I've driven numerous cars (including GTs, Cobras, and Trans Ams in particular) through the mountains in GA/TN/NC and the 04 Cobra is by far the most comfortable and most fun to drive through there. I am one of the ones that likes having the IRS and would consider that a plus when deciding if I should buy a Terminator...
the only 2 cars i have driven that handled better than my V6 is a Porsche Cayman and my old Corrolla. that corrolla was a beast around turns but it also had about $2000 in the rear end alone.
I come and go..... seems like a lot of the guys that used to be on here a few years back are gone. The whole board seems slower in general too.
this is true, i took a hiatus from the forums as well.... tired of the monotony and trolls, kinda sad the forum as a whole has gone downhill though there is a small group of guys in the 4.6 that are pretty cool.
i agree with blown and svteeshirt i think were the last 3 here minus tim lol...i know a few people got banned...im staying here anyways caust svtperformance is a mad house and isnt really enjoyable most the time haha

I spend most of my time on local boards where I actually know people. RKC is my main one. There is a big MN chapter and we host a get together every monday night that draws 2-300 cars out. Even that site has changed some over the years but its nice to know who the other person you are talking to is.
I logged onto here a couple of years ago, but I just got serious about talking a few months back. Are you guys telling me I have missed the fun times and people here??
