B heads/intakes as a combo actually make more power down low, (not by a whole lot) while C heads make more power higher in the RPM range. Stock for stock.

The C heads > B heads when ported by a good bit, imo.

The problem with using 03/04 heads is there is only a lower intake from the 03/04 cobra as the upper is replaced by the eaton blower.

So if you do the swap minus the blower you have to use a 99/01 cobra or 03/04 mach intake which despite what people say i belive are identical minus a cobra plaque. I'm not 100% but i think they are more N/A oriented, which may or may not be a bad thing. You could always go for the fr-500 intake (based off the 00 Cobra R intake) but it has a bit of a steep pricetag and are getting hard to find.

Basically it comes down to your overall goals, f/i or n/a, how high you want to rev and where you want your power. Me personally would rather rev higher with some C heads and throw a steep gear in the rear end. Why not if you're revving high? It'll get you to a usable powerband quickly.

Lol, you do a lot of driving with the hood up?

I bought my cobra to drive the hell out of it, not to stare at whats under the hood.

Well I should have my heads by the end of the month. And now I'm starting to think that since the 4.6 will be going though all this work I might as well as redo the rotating assembly while I'm at it.

This engine will be seeing some twinscrew boost eventually, and I'm looking to keep the stock compression ratio.

What brands of rods and pistons should I be looking at as far as the best quality. Should I stick with the same brand for both because I was thinking Manley rods and Diamond pistons. If there are others/"better" ones I should be looking at feel free to give me your input, advice, and/or personal experiences.

Thanks in advance.
(It's a little slow here, so I'm going to go ahead and ask in 4.6 main section too)
