Default 1997 Cobra vs 2009 GT?

Fellas
I have a problem...I am about to get a 09 GT. I took it for a ride today and fell in love with it. The only way that I would consider getting rid of my Cobra was if the GT was as quick which it was. Do any of you cobra guys have a newer GT for any input?

Thanks

Alot of us in this section sold our S197's for cobra's, mostly terminators. When I had my 07 gt, I had alot done to mine. It was quick and was comfortable, but to me didn't feel like a mustang. Just to big and bulky. I sold it after only having it a little over a year and bought my terminator. IMO if it is a DD, hands down S197's. Weekend toy, Cobra!

Ok I picked up the GT yesterday. It's a totally different feel than my Cobra. With the HP being roughly the same, the GT feels like it has more torque. It was such a hard decision that I think that it came down to the seats in both cars. When I first got my Cobra, I never figured that I would drive the car as much as I did. I ended up putting around 2500 miles on it since may. In that time I realized that though the seats were padded well, there was really no comfortable setting that I could find. The cobra screamed "drive me hard". I really loved that with my cobra, but the upgrade to the suspension and in the refinements to the interior pushed me over to grab the GT. After jumping on the GT briefly, i can't tell a difference in speed.

Nice post some pics! Intake/Tune Combo, should be your first mod. I went with the C&L Race Intake/Bama Race Tune, I loved it.

Stock vs Stock the 09 GT is faster than the 97 cobra.

Uberstang i am starting to notice that. The 09 seems to get there a little quicker. I miss the cobra a bit, but the coupe makes the transition kinda smooth.
