Default Anyone running this suspension setup?

About a month & 1/2 ago it's about 7pm on a Sunday and it's raining. I just picked up my friend from her job. We're driving in a 35mph zone on a city street going about 25mph. No traffic, it's raining, and we're not in a rush when all of a sudden "BOOM" airbags deploy and the horn won't stop blaring. Wtf so I pull over and look back in the road there's about 2" of new pavement across the whole road... No signs or warnings at all. Luckily neither of us got hit bad by the airbags, just touched her lip which was burning for two days after lol so I go through the whole process and insurance is covering it.. Somehow comes to about $7000 in damage to the car. It takes them about 4 weeks to decide there isn't any cobra drivers side airbags available. Only four left in the country and none will ship it.. So ended up getting a gt airbag. They finally finished all the work but I decided to put new springs on the car hoping to raise it even 1/2 inch. Come to find out the springs on there were eibach sportlines for a 99-04 gt mustang... So it's about 2 1/2 3 1/2 inches lower than factory wtf... So I ordered Steeda sport springs and there 4 bolt c&c plates. I also just recently installed tokici d spec adjustable shocks/struts. Anyone have that set up?(d spec + Steeda sport springs + c&c plates)

Sounds like your car is very low, but did you bottom out on exhaust or just hit a VERY nasty 2" lip of asphalt? If so, the softest springs in the world won't be a whole lot better, as the "jolt" appears to have been the cause of airbag deployment.

If you run low-profile tires, and likely you do, a higher one with a softer sidwall would help more than anything else. This may not be a good option, so may just have to hope you don't hit such a rut again.

Have you talked to the city and file a claim against damage caused by bad road conditions?

Yeah it was extremely low.. The pavement was a nasty nasty 2 -3" lip across the entire road :/ ripped out the intercooler and the huge x bracket that's under the trans. Luckily since there were no signs my insurance is sueing the city I only had a $300 deductible... I'm in love with the Steeda springs I bought haven't scraped once now and the handling feels just as good if not better so I'm happy. I also never had the front lip spoiler that came with the car and insurance paid for it so something good out of this whole process

Forgot to mention when I finally went to get the car after a month and 1/2 they told me the toe end links? Same as tie rod ends but for the back were completely frozen and they couldn't do an alignment. I plan to take it off the road when it's gets colder so decided I'd wait til spring to replace. So I get the car, first stop car wash and I'm heading home I keep hearing scraping like I never heard before wtf is it the cars higher off the ground than before and it's scraping in place it never did. So I get home and go looking for where it could be scraping and see this red thing hanging from the toe end link on the pass side so I reach up and pull a wrench off it.. Wtf ford left a wrench and a pick right on my hood. So I go for a nice ride and the car feels weird kinda like when you hit a big puddle and it pulls to the side but it was constant if I go over 40ish mph so I get home and try to shake the rim. Drivers side solid pass side tire rocks left to right wtff just had the car in there over a month now this.. Ford wouldnt even replace the side they broke.. If there wrench wasn't there it woulda been fine.. There goes another $800 :/ finally got it back after all this and no problems yet

That's bull....should have taken a pic of the wrench in the car on the side of the road and had proof they left it in there to make the dealer pay for it.

They would have record of the time it left and who worked on it so you could narrow it down.

Goodluck with it! Hope it pans out for you
