Unhappy Just threw a rod

Well, guys, this gal is gonna have to spend some mullah.....looking for an engine.....its dead (RIP) Do I need to post in the classified? Cheapest one I found is 3100 and thats with 113k miles on it. Mine only has 82K. This is so frustrating. I am sticking with the SVT engine too. No gt engines etc.

any suggestions?

Check out the classifieds on The Corral and SVTP. If you want new look at MMR they sell short blocks or you can send them yours.
If you want used you can try www.car-part.com

Thanks, I will check out the corral, I have thought about a new from Motorcraft, boy they think a lot of those. I also checked out Jasper. I was hoping a crank kit would fix it but I don't want to take a chance of metal being in the engine....then spending the money all over again for the labor just to buy a new engine. I would like to find a good used one but not having much luck.

The car-part.com website I posted is a Salvage yard data base you should be able to find a good engine and they almost always come with a 90 day warranty.

Thanks guys, gonna be looking tonight. Found some remans for 3500 for short block..that's with a warranty from nationwide. Has anyone dealt with them? I've dealt with grooms and they don't back up their warranties without a comple hassle....

This if you want a complete motor is the best option. Comes warranted and fresh 0 miles. On the other hand if you wanted to save cash, I would lean towards a MMR shortblock and re-use the rest as long as nothing got messed up. You could replace just the shortblock with a even stronger version for 1800-2000, and still have cash to pay someone if you didnt want to assemble the stuff yourself.

You can get short blocks from them but you can get a long block for around $3300 brand new with a warranty 3 years unlimited miles. So I would call tousley ford great guys to deal with.
