Hello, I have a 1998 Mustang Cobra 4.6. The other day the Speedometer started dropping out. It's been dropping to 0 and then back up to the true speed back and forth. Also, I don't think the accumulated miles is incrementing. Does this sound like a module on the Transmission that I can change out or something more difficult.

Sounds like the plastic gears in the dash cluster have gone out , depending on where you order them from , about a $25-$50 fix .
