2004 mustang V6? Thoughts?
Hey Guys,
my names Will and I’ve wanted an 04 mustang for a few years now but I’ve never had the money or anything. Now I do and there’s a super awesome deal and I’m going to look at it tomorrow. I wanted everyone’s thoughts and opinions. Pros cons maybe. Thanks in advance

Auto or manual? The Auto is a 4-speed with a 2.73 rear end. That translates to slow.....
If you get a manual at least it's fine. I had a 2000 V6 manual for about 8 years. Pretty reliable/solid. It had a 3.8L. The last of the 2004's had 3.9L because ford stop building the engine in 2003 in anticipation of the new 4.0L V6 that was going to be used in 2005.
For all intents and purposes, the 3.9L is identical to the 3.8L. There's maybe 3hp gain on the 3.9L. Here's the long explanation. https://performance.ford.com/enthusi...x-mustang.html

99-04 should have 3.27s with select few 99/00s having 3.08, all 99-04 cars are pretty cheap right now so I wouldn’t fall in love with the first one you might find a lower mile one with a v8 or color you like better etc
