Two Questions
Do Cobras only come in manual 5-speed? I'm pretty sure that's a yes, but I'm just wondering. I don't know (as of now) how to drive a stick. If I can I'd rather get auto. I'm in love with Superchargers but I'll be leasing to buyso if I got a GT I couldn't add one till my three years are up.

And Coupe VS. Convertible. I heard that the equipment in a convertible will weigh it down and that will noticably affect it's speed. And that after about 5 years it'll start to leak and they're a big pain to take care of...Is that true? Is it really worth it?

Thanx. Sorry about all these questions. I'm learn-ding!

Yes i am pretty sure that the SVT's only come in stick. But if i were you i would learn how to drive stick. Having an auto with mods is kinda hard unless u have a 9 second car, you have to spend the money to update your tranny with stall converter, tranny cooler, shift kit and so on. Manual is just so much easier.
As for the second question, convert's are heavier and slow the car alittle; and yes u do have to worry about the top, i dont know if its within five years but they fade, the motor goes, there just more parts on it to break, if you know what i mean.

Hey Kellarina...

All Cobras are either 5 spd (<2001) or 6 spd (03>
. Go for the coupe. Sometimes I wish I would of gotten the vert, but I'm glad I stuck with the coupe. Less I have to deal with.

you can specially order one with an auto tranny...but i wouldnt recommend it....my advice...suck it up and learn to drive a stick....they are more fun to drive and give you more play with rpm...besides....an automatic cobra?.....ahhhh....thats totally unheard of....lol.....driving stick is not that hard....it just takes practice....get someone to start taking you out for some driving lessons....you'll do fine....and once you do get your stick cobra give it a good month or two to really get a feel for how she drives and responds to you....jenna...ps...coupe it dont vert it
Yeah actually I got taught how to drive a 5 speed yesterday and I was pretty good for my first time. It'll just take practice to make it nice and smooth. I've narrowed down my options to either a auto GT or a manual Cobra. If I can get the hang of driving stick, I'll probablybe getting the Cobra. Who knows. LOL
