I have an '01 Bullitt that I want to start building. It needs to remain a "street car" mainly for drag class purposes. I need an engine built along with some form of forced induction via s/c or turbo/s. Also I'll need a manual tranny to hold it and rear end built. I work offshore so I want to get rolling on setting this project up so I can drop the car off for however long it takes. I also can't always make phone calls or check email due to being out in the middle of the gulf so this is the easiest way for me to correspond.

Items that I know I need:
Fully built forged 4.6 possibly bored and stroked
forced induction
5/6spd tranny that can handle the power
rear end to be built, gears diff, shafts.
Programming controlled preferably by LiveWire unless that's insufficient for the project
roll cage, preferably bolt-in, and sub frames
"streetable" drag suspension
3" cowl hood
skinnies and slicks (possibly 17" skinnies to clear the front brakes)
K-member and tubular control arms
Coil over suspension, bilstiens or QA1's
Fill in the rest. I know this the most time consuming and aggravating part of building a car, but I really appreciate the time that you guys put in to this part. I believe in having a complete plan before I start a project like this.

I want this car to run 10's and still be able to drive it to the track.
600-700hp would be nice.
I need all stock components to be able to be put back in the car as original e.i., engine, tranny, etc.
This car must be able to be returned to a numbers matching original Bullitt as closely as possible.

I would like to be supplied with options, as I do have a planned budget, but I don't wan't to go cheap. I want this car to primarilybe POWERFUL and RELIABLE.

Yeah I want y'all to do everything. Being offshore all the time limits my free time, and I'd rather spend it taking vacations and relaxing than working on a big project like this. I only work on little things on the cars when I come home lol.

Looks good. I have a question about the plenum. How does it work with the Bullitt intake, or are you talking about doing a completely new engine from the oil pan to the throttle body? Either way is fine, just curious.

I also have a 90mm 04 Cobra MAF, would that need to be used in this job? Would it help?

What are we look at labor wise? How long would it take, approximately, to get all the parts ready to go, and then how long will you guys need the car? Be generous, because I would rather hear 3 weeks and it take 2 then to hear 2 weeks and it takes 3, know what I mean?

If this hurricane moves into the gulf, I'll be coming in off this rig for a few days and will be able to call and go over some more details.

 

If you have the Bullitt intake, HELL NO, we will keep that (AWESOME intake). Scratch the plenum and throttle body, but we will upgrade the stock Bullitt throttle body to a bigger BBK. Yes, the 90mm MAF should hold up well, as long as we don't peg it on the dyno.

The ProCharger usually takes 4-6 weeks to come in and we require atleast 1/2 down on the charger to order it. The other parts will usually be received within a few days, so it's really quick. As far as time frame...this is a custom job with the custom made roll cage specifically for your car...these are not off the shelf bars, they are beautiful.

I would say 8-10 weeks once the car is here at the shop. Mine has been at the shop since the first of June and should be done within the next 2 weeks. THR is very detail attentive, we don't cut corners...we do everything right so all you ahve to worry about is changing the oil, putting gas in it and replacing tires, (LOL).

Also, I wanted to let ya know...unless you really want a coil over rear suspension, we can do very well without it and have ride comfort and KILLER results at the track.
