im northwest houston in the spring area. ive never been to a track before...but really want to. im not entirely sure what to expect or how to go about things. i just got my car maybe half a year ago. im running off of a college kid budget but im trying to drop mods in here and there =)
I am also from Spring/Woodlands area. Houston Raceway (Royal Purple) is OK and the only 1/4 mile around, but if you just want to try it out go to Houston Motorsports Park. High class track with great people. Only an 1/8 mile track but still loads of fun. Oh and if you are on a college budget, don't race it if you can't afford to break it.
Alvin here.... I haven't been with the new car yet but I used to take my 91' 5.0 a lot. I will probably be going with the new on in the next few weeks.
well we need to get something organized set it up in like 2 months and we can do it big.
Be better to wait till the fall when the weather is cooler.. Cars will run down the track better.. There will be less bugs out.. Won't be sweating as bad waiting to stage...
Plus I gotta get a helmet.. At the 1/8 mile track if you run anything faster I think than a 9 flat you have to wear one... I know that stang will run at least that fast..
