AC on my 2015 GT stopped working a few days ago.
Took it to the dealership yesterday and got a call today saying the evaporator is leaking and will have to be replaced.
I looked online to see if this is a recurrent problem with the 2015 but could not find anything...
Dealership says they will have the car ready tomorrow...i hope...
At least they were nice to give me a loaner (brand new F-150 Lariat) to drive until my car is repaired.

How are you guys not finding anything on evaporator issues??? There's at least 1 30+ page thread on this issue with countless others multi page ones, all under the issue/tsb/problems sections.

My whole A/C was replaced back in Oct. I was just out of warranty, but had a warranty from the dealer as i bought the car with high miles used.

I asked if the new evaporator is any different and they said no...... They are going to have to rip apart the dash to do it. Anyone else go through this?
The ordered the evaporator already knowing that was the problem. They ripped out my dash damaging it and replaced the dash board being to rough on it.

Links? People say they have found it on the internet but don't provide their source. Copy & Paste.

I didn't find anything either.

Evaporator just went out in the wife's '15. Took it in for the door latch recall, and also to have them check out my a/c problem. First hint was that the air coming out of the passenger vent was much colder than the air coming out of the drivers vent. Also had the white film forming on the windshield. Service writer at the dealership told me that as of late they've been doing 4 to 6 evaporators a week. When I was telling him about the problem he asked me if I had had the recall done for the evaporator. What recall? Maybe there's one on the way? They had an evap in stock, so it's being replaced.

I didn't want to start a new thread so I revived this one. 2016 GT with 5200 miles. AC stopped working just like that. Dealership said evaporator. They are ordering the part and said it should arrive within 5 days.

Does anyone know if Ford has changed the evaporator? I've read some posts that say yes, but I haven't seen anything concrete. Just want to know if this is a one time deal or if Ford is buying time by replacing the same problematic part.
