Default Ford Performance Power Packs

Anyone planning on doing the power pack(s)??? I'm debating on Power Pack 3, but would love to hear some insights first.

Thanks, everyone!

A buddy of mine told me about their existence, and then i stumbled across it on the interwebs. Apparently the Power Pack 3 (strongest, and most expensive) gains 51 torques and like 60 or so HP at 7500 RPM. Don't quote me on those numbers, i don't have the specs sitting in front of me.

It comes with a tune, GT350 intake manifold, intake, and throttle body. Supposedly (according to GAS), it has no effect on vehicle warranty, factory or extended.

Just wondering if there are any insights on this out there.

Thanks,

-J

They had those for the prior model too I believe. They get pricey but I imagine it's a way of getting a tune without voiding the warranty. To me it's probably worth it since I don't trust these engines. I have 5k miles on my 2014 and after I got my last oil change it started ticking....

I ordered the 2015-17 MUSTANG GT COLD AIR INTAKE AND CALIBRATION POWER PACK 2 M-9603-M8A a few weeks ago and the last time I checked, they won't even ship until late November. Paid around $630 shipped from a Ford Dealership in NY. Can't wait for it to arrive. I will post with my impressions of it once installed.

I too, just ordered the PP2. The only disappointment I have with the S550 is the lack of torque at low rpm. Previous vehicle was a Corvette with the LS-2 engine, which had loads of torque at anything above an idle. Hope this cures the void, plus I was never a fan of the stock air intake in any brand of performance vehicle.

Aside from the obvious difference in price point and equipment, how much more torque down low does the PP3 offer? The descriptions i've seen aren't terribly great. One talks about hp/tq down low, and the other talks about peak gains. I'm trying to decide.

Thanks, guys!
