Pony removal on the grille

How does the chrome pony come out of the grille on a 2017? I want to take it off and plasti dip it.

I tried searching, but nothing came up but I'm sure someone has done this.

I painted mine black,it's been few months with no problem.
You can buy black covers for it too.
Piece is glued and you probably break it while removing.
