HELP! - Long tube headers
Hey everyone! Im pretty new to this car stuff as im a bit older (mostly was into trucks back in the day)
So far iv done a few mods to my car including new cold air intake and i got a 93 race tune
After looking through AmericanMuscle for awhile i placed an order for some BBK Long Tube Headers yesterday but my dumbass didn't realize the new mustangs need a different mid pipe with them to be installed correctly, so im now looking at 2 different H-Pipes from BBK and i want to know the difference between the two please and which one would sound better:
https://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-o...e-1516v6.html#
Or

Thank you!!!!!

Well, the one without cats isnt street legal anywhere. Since you are in CA, touching your stock cats at all is illegal (I think), which means even longtubes with cats might not work when you get emissions done. You might also have trouble in the future if you try to trade the car to a dealer.

The catted mid pipe will be quieter. Is your car tested annually or every other year for emissions? You should check if this would affect your car's testing.
This is a note from the catted H "Technical Note. This BBK Mid-Pipe may not be legal for use in emission restrictive states. Please check your local ordinances. "
Maybe a shop can cut the cats from the stock mid pipe and fabricate a custom mid pipe to work with the long tubes and the stock cats.

Well you said you wanted to know the difference between the two, and your location is listed as California? Sorry man, it's a forum...
