[QUOTE=n813ca;8553656]11,000 miles on my 2015 GT and the AC stopped working. It put a white film all over the inside of my windshield. I could swear I was getting headaches when it was happening. No AC in Florida... Ford refused to pay for the expense of a loaner while they are waiting on the part on back order. According to the dealer they have had a bunch coming in with this problem. I asked if the new evaporator is any different and they said no...... They are going to have to rip apart the dash to do it. Anyone else go through this? I have the same problem with a 2015 Mustang GT with only 14,000 miles. The A/C has went out twice within two months. I was told by the dealer that they have had to replace 7 or 8 evaporators on these cars. When Ford has a problem like this they should take care of a loaner car.

Same thing happened to my 2016 Mustang - just barely within the warranty mileage, at 35,800 miles (I drive a lot!) They've ordered the part, just waiting on it to get here.

Same thing happened to me too! Mine has 42,000 miles Purchased extended warranty but thought the dependability of the cars nowadays has improved a lot so I canceled the warranty just 1 month ago...

Evaporator failure due to ****-poor design is inexcusable in this day & age. Unless they were trying some "new technology", involving plastic instead of metal, for example, and then it's inexcusable for lack of testing results before introduction. Compared to the condenser, or compressor, the evaporator ought to be a piece of cake. Years back, the only failed evaporators we saw had been smashed in devastating collisions. imp

Would you rather have a 70k+ gt350 "race car" that blows oil cooler lines on the street and wipes the motor? Or maybe an 85k dollar z06 that loses 100+hp when it gets hot in spirited driving?

Fact is **** happens, they can't predict all that will happen in the real world.

Default 2015 Ecoboost ac issues

My cars ac went out twice in the last two years. At 15k and 35k. We will see how well the new parts are made...
