Hey guys, I have a 2015 Mustang Ecoboost that has the 4" stereo screen. Well I managed to get an 8" "Sync 2" version, and I'm wondering if it's just a simple swap?

You might want to try the Mustang6G forum dedicated to the new Mustangs.

From what I know of the new sync systems from our daughters 2017 Escape, the 4" and 8" screens are not just a simple swap. There is other supporting hardware and programming that must be done and in some cases, there is no way to "upgrade" because the systems are completely different and require different supporting harnesses, a ton of programming, and are more integrated into the vehicle than just a plug/nplay system.
