Is it?
Gentlemen (and ladies!) I have a question and I didn't know which forum this belonged in but I figured I'd get the best responses from y'all. I took a ride in an R8 last night. All I can say is WOW...the car isn't so much about HP although it does boast 420 capable ponies. I could go on to deliver a point by point review of how sweet I thought it was and why but that would take a lot of typing and I'm sure it would instigate several arguments about why I thought what. I had an instant impression of the car though and herein lies my question; do you think, best described, that the R8 is the modern day NSX? The allwheel drive and V8 aside I really felt it to be reminiscent of the NSX-T I drove about 5 years ago. Not the fastest car on the road by any means but it performed extremely well in every facet of performance worth testing, including SOTP. As some of you in this section may remember one of my buddies had a burnt orange Murcielago LP640. The Audi didn't evoke the same feeling, the Audi felt smaller, more nimble, and of course less powerful. I walked away from the blast thinking "that was the best NSX I've ever been in". I can't help but feel that the engineers at Audi didn't have the NSX in mind when they created this car. Discuss...
