I guess it kind of depends on the "possible nitrous."

Without it i think you would smoke him.

You going to be pushing about 9psi? I had a similar set-up, 8 rib D1sc with 2 4inch front mounts. It made right at 500 rwhp on 9 psi with full exhaust, blower cam, etc. I think you can handle him off the spray.

True, those heads are much too small for a 408. I wouldn't see him making much more then 430rwhp with that setup. Either way, he will need spray to run with you.

with a nice set up on the 408 I could see it being close even without the nitrous. But it seems to me like he should get a bigger set of heads. Either way if he can hook on the bottle I would think he will smoke you, off the bottle probably close

If he goes with a bigger set of heads and can hook it should be close off the bottle, on the bottle I'm saying he'll get ya.

If he stays with the combo you have listed, he'll need the bottle to keep up with ya.

Regardless it should be a good race, keep us updated.

Not sure on your plans man, but you're making more power than that on your cam/nitrous setup. Why swap it up for that? I could see if you were going with a different motor, but why with the stock one?

I am planning on a 370 CI with AFR 225's and crank the boost, but that wont be for a while yet.... My plan was to get the poocharger up and running and rock it for next season... It will be fun to drive and i wont have to hassle my friend to fill bottles at 1am anymore ...... i am just starting with a bracket and a D1SC headunit, the rest is going to be custom fabbed by myself and my friend who has all the toys in his garage..I was toying with the idea of going with vette accessories and switching the position of the blower up to the passenger side head.. another friend who owns a local speed shop is an A&A dealer (they make vortech based corvette kits) wants me to go that route and use the A&A bracket and vortech V3........ staying with me? lol..... But friend #1 , being a turbo Ls1 guru, he is filling my head with turbo propaganda, he is trying to sell me on a truck manifold/ front mount/ 76 mm setup... which is an interesting idea and his fab skills are certainly up to the task...

soooo i might go that route too... i really need to sit down and figure out what direction i want to go with the car and weigh the costs out..

My god does that hot/cold piping looks good. That big turbo would be awesome and probably make more power then the blower setup.
