Default what kinda power would this stang be putting down

my friend showed me this video of this mustang with bolt ons and a tune racing a 335i with some pretty legit ecu mod. the mustang takes it off the line, but from a roll the 335 takes it. i hear that the 335i with this jb2h thing can run low 12's if driven properly. what kinda bolt ons does it sound like the stang has? heres the link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKWwvcYn3dE

the mustang and 335 race starts at 1:43

thanks

I'm thinking the new 335i's are capable of low 13's stock. Not sure what a "chip" would do for it, besides lean it out and potentially blow it up.....bout time BMW stepped up with their $45k Hyundai.

Mustang definitely had some kind of exhaust.

Probably an off road pipe and some cams, 4.10s, and of course intake/tune. It may not be cammed though, really hard to tell without knowing who has the driver mod and who doesn't, etc. It pulled pretty hard up top though.

reason why i was kinda curious is because i found this other video of the 335 guy racing a stock carrera 4S. he pulled it pretty bad, off the line the 911 had it but from a roll the 911 got rocked. could cams/tune/cai/and gears make a gt pull this bad on a stock 911?

I'll be honest with ya, I don't know enough about those 911s to give you a sound answer as to what a GT will do with one.

Cams help the S197s top end, but its not night and day or anything, not like a cammed LSx motor in other words. With some mild NSR cams, an exhaust, intake/tune S197 can go from a 107 mph trap to 109-110, or 105-107-108, depending on conditions, etc. Under 4k rpm, they really don't do any good. The cams that require springs, phasers, and all that stuff are much better, making peak gains at around 25 "peak" rwhp with some bolt ons, but it cost so much to go that route that many don't bother. I hate saying what cams will or will not do on these cars, considering that dynos are all over the place, but I have seen the traps go up 2-3 mph, so to me, that part holds some water. On a side note, you mentioned LTs. Complete waste on these cars without FI, imo. They sound good, but to me thats the biggest benefit. I don't really think that GT in the vid is cammed now that I think about it. It seems like he started falling back in the upper RPM range, then caught back up on the shift. I'd love to know for sure.
