Traction Control
Query. How come noone ever seems to use this?
I compared my best attempt with TC and without.
They were within a single tenth. And my attempt without TC? I had 4.10 gears installed at the time. Not so on the attempt with TC on.

What was your 60' with and without the TC on. It doesn't effect mine much if I'm only launching at 3k and not powershifting, but with 5k RPM launches and powershifts, the TC becomes very intrusive on my car.
It depends on the TC. Most of the systems on American cars suck, and pull all kinds of timing and make the car run like a turd. The more advanced European systems actually limit how far the throttle opens to provide the most amount of power at the wheels that can be used effectively. I saw a guy at the strip once with the new BMW M3 with the 4.0 V8, launching with his TC on he just revved up to like 6,000-7,000rpm and let the clutch go....the TC would limit the throttle for max usable power without blowing the tires off....launching like that with a bit of wheel spin he was pulling like high 1.9x 60's on street tires.
Given these results that's why I asked the question about why people seem to not want to use this. It appears to help not hinder. IME anyway.

hard to tell anything from those 2 times because of the difference in mods. only good way is to leave it on for a run and then turn it off for the next. I think I had left T/C on once and i had the same ET w/o it.
