Default Dynoed..

Hmm, like the other non Mustangs of the S/S this is the best place for this as they are the ones meant to see it.

Anyways I went and got a dyno tune at Tru Dyno Sports in NC. I'm sure that doesn't mean anything to anyone besides BB. To the point a well know tuner that holds the stock internal record tuned it.

Though the dyno (Mustang) is nicknamed The Heart breaker. Last time the car was dynoed there it pulled 336/335 on pump gas and 22psi. He said the computer took a crap and it had to be re-calibrated IIRC/ along with all the other variables that can change. Anyways baseline today was 308/315 (for comparison it trapped 94.8 mph in the 1/8 just like it sat..that's more than a 308whp car, haha) after some pulls and tuning along as him fixing a couple of issues that popped up final numbers were 350whp 380ft-lbs. He said he got the most power he could out of it and the 750's are pretty much maxed. The D44 is rated 440whp so with those factors and after a test drive its deff making some decent power. It had solid gains throughout the whole powerband.

BTW, about it being a "Heart breaker" he told me there was a car that dynoed there at 42Xwhp and went over to the next town and dynoed over 500whp.

Anyways onto the slips...

Solid line is Race gas numbers and the dotted lines are from the baseline.

Solid lines are Race gas numbers again and the dotted lines are from last time when the Dyno was reading higher and it pulled 336.

Are you happy about your numbers? Those are stout numbers honestly, lord knows I'd be happy with them right now

Yeah, I'm happy. He said his car pulls 500hp on that dyno and it trapped a best of 138mph last season..

so you should be around 400 at the tires?

dang, I can't even imagine how that thing must spin the tires with street tread on the front. probably spins them at 80mph, haha

I wouldn't even pay attention to those numbers. They mean nothing. Like you said, that dyno reads wayyy low. The gains however, are another story. Those are huge gains with the race gas. I know it's gotta feel like a completely different animal gaining that much power in one sitting, especially in a lighter car. Nice work, PD. Can't wait to see how it affects your traps, etc.

+1 as long as you use that dyno as a tool that's all that matters. Solid gains on the dyno should give you great results at the track!

I will probably go to a local dynojet just out of curiosity. Idk what peak numbers will be but it has a hell of a powerband now. It deff feels stronger than when I trapped 95. Track times will suck so next time I go to the track I might as well leave on boost instead of waiting till 20mph for the turbo to spool and just see how high I can trap. Haha. I mean the 750s are at its limit and thats all he could get out of it so it should be 400+.

it looks like it has some more life in it. Its peak boost is 29.5psi but due to the MBC it only falls to about 24. ...track times I mentioned earlier were on a peak of 22ps with alot less timing. Cant wait to see what the boost box will let me hold.
