I dont think it will be too complicated since most of you know your cars pretty good. The car its not a done deal yet, but we shook on it and Ill be taking the money to him wednesday and picking up the car. I normally dont post these kinda things ahead of time since I feel its kinda bad luck but Im pretty excited to get back in the game. Here it is............

I'm still getting the Z next year but not having anything to play with is killing me. I was hoping to last til next year with my current daily but I can't take it any more. I got/will get this as a weekend/track car. It's an 85 4 eye GT.

Nice!!! Huge fan of the 4 eyes here! So you got plans to get her on down the track then from the sound of it. Curious to see what you do with it. 83 is the only other 4 eye in this section, and I highly doubt he's planning on ever modding his.

Yea so am I. I almost got an 86 4 eye gt t-top last year if it wasn't because the car didn't really drive as the owner discribed to me that it did over the phone. The transmission was crap and was very difficult to get into gear. This one's got a tasteful set of mods, seller claims it ran 8.1 in the 1/8 on nitto 555 street tires. He's a friend of a friend even though I have met him before, I don't doubt he ran that but I'll test it myself.

**** yes! You know I love 4 eye's. Car is pretty sweet looking. I see its got a 5-lug conversion. I've always liked those Termi wheels on 4i's. What's done to the motor to run that 8.1 1/8 mile time? H/C/I?
Stone, my car's modded, just not for the track. I don't want to break anything, the cars got 70,000 original miles and was orginally owned by my Grandpa and later my Dad. Also, they only made 1,001 GT Convertibles in '83 and only a couple hundred are left, so the car is rare.
As far as mods go, its got full exhaust, Edelbrock intake manifold and UDP's. That's good for 210rwhp and 260rwtq (roughly, don't have my charts around) in 3050lb car. Not too bad considering stock '83 5.0's put down about 140-150rwhp. Full exhaust got me about 45rwhp alone, most of the that gain is due to the fact that these cars came with a single exhaust setup. I remember Hot Rod got similiar results with a '83 Project car. I think they got like 40rwhp with full exhaust. It's also got 5 lug Cobra brakes w/braided lines , Mach 1 wheels, Eibach springs, Tokico shocks, Griggs Subframe connectors and Maximum Motorsports C/C plates.
Also....... Four Eyed Pride. Best place for '79-'86 knowledge.
