something tells me you've never had a daily driver with a true 400hp let alone anything close to 800.

500-600 on the street would just be dumb, hell, without micky thompsons my car is dumb on the street with much less then that.

I would NOT want anything over 500hp for a street car as light as a foxbody.
ya??? hell i deliver pizza's with 782rwhp. it's not hard. i mean ya sure, if i give it the boot i don't have traction till about 120mph on the street tires. but it's not hard to keep under control.

I dont think Im getting the point Im trying to make across - I dont ALWAYS two 10,000lbs with my truck..... I COULD - but that doesnt mean I have to. Just because you have a motor than can make 800HP with S/C, Turbo, Nitrous doesnt mean that you have to use it every time the light turns green

lmao i hear the MPG isnt too good on those until you get into orbit

i agree though, you dont have to go full throttle if you dont want to..

but cars built up to have a ****load of HP usually arent practical for a daily driver though, most of the time (sometimes they have massive cams reducing mpg to like 5, etc.)

I guess it really depends on how its built. A build with massive cams will probably be less streetable than some type of centri blower or turbo build. Also the transmission will make a difference. Not sure how high stalled autos are while driving normally (never driven one) manual may make it fine to daily, depending on the clutch etc..

Give us a call anytime (during shop hours, obviously) and we'll be happy to advise you and suggest any tweaks you need to make it hook. Call 561.588.6630 and ask for Jeremy Martorella. He's hard to get on the phone because he always has customers asking for him, but he is VERY sharp when it comes to suspension setup.

Has anyone here daily driven a UPR coilover setup? Still awaiting my blasted spanner wrench...
I have daily driven on the coilovers. No problem.

I've owned and street driven a Fox with 525rwhp, and I drove (but didn't own) a 700hp Mustang. It's not bad if you have self control.

What scares people about driving their cars to work? Keep your foot out of it and its no worse than your mom's Honda....
Agreed 100%!

^^That's what I'm talking about! The '89 LX in my avatar should be back out on the streets this month or next. It should make at least 1000rwhp with the new combo. It was my daily driver before I took it apart for some upgrades. It won't be my daily driver now, but I bet it'll see 4-5000 miles a year with the ProCharged 427".

HERP A DERP

you can idle a 6,000hp car to work if you want.

I'm talking about actually getting in the throttle and trying to enjoy or just USE the power.

at a certain point, it just becomes dumb, and the only enjoyable factor when your not sucking car seat into your ******* is the fact that the car is just SO dumb to try and drive hard on the street that its a novelty thing...

idk about you but constantly spinning, **** getting sideways at 80+ mph is not my idea of fun

You and I sir clearly have different views on what fun is.

Where is Stkjock he daily drives 800hp (rwhp I believe??) he could tell you exactly how much fun or pain it is.

So I daily drove my car to work this morning. It rained - I was happy with my decision to strap my goodyear grocery getter tires on instead of the ET streets

well like I said, the novelty thing of it would be fun, but I think I would be more scared for my life/investment then anything.

stkjocks car has over 800rwhp, but it is also quite a bit heavier then a foxbody.

800hp in a almost/over 4,000lb car is different then a 3,000lb fox imo.

It depends a lot on how you make power too I guess... honestly with the way my car is setup I have no need to even go over 3000rpm during normal everyday driving... I can't fathom having too much power to enjoy a casual cruise to work.
