this is another local car, going to be cruising down to a car show with this guy and will plan on lining up a couple races. it's a 99 t/a firehawk clone. Has full bolt ons with an sl5 cam and livernois ported heads, 6speed car with stock rear end/gears and it dyno'd 437whp a couple years ago. basing this car off of the orange t/a i raced last week i plan on it being an opposite result, him beating me by about 1-2 cars. figuring he's about ~30 whp up on the orange one but he's also got stock gears i believe so i dunno, might be really interesting!

 

He should have 3.42 gears then, which IMO will do much better than the orange TA did with the 4.10s from a roll. This guy will be able to ride those gears/power a lot longer. I'm assuming he has a solid tune since he's well over 400 rwhp. Should be a good race. Kind of thinking he should put a car or two on ya.

 

the orange one had 3.73's not 4.10's. but i still agree with you, my only advantage will be weight, i'll have a passenger with both of us totalling around 300lbs, the owner of the t/a weighs 350 and hopefully he has a passenger too so it can stay interesting

 

I was thinking he had 4.10s for some reason. When is this race going down?

 

tomorrow evening. meeting at 6 to drive to the show, we'll be going southbound on the expressway so traffic should be scarce. hoping for the best.
