Default SCT-to-Trinity

Hey tuner pros, the shop who is doing my Vortech V-3 install tunes using the SCT Xcalibrator 3. I already have the Diablosport Trinity. Do you guys know if I will be able to upload the SCT tune to my Trinity?...that way I can modify that tune like I want...speedometer calibration (different-sized tires)....little things like shutting off my TCS. The Trinity is awesome because I have it mounted in my AC vent, and can just play with it there and monitor. The SCT the shop will give me will more than likely get re-sold if I can upload the tune to my Trinity...which is what I want. Thanks in advance.

Yes, be sure the Trinity is unlocked and unmarried when they tune it with the SCT, then let the Trinity read that file as the backup file, and you can have your way with it.

Got any pics of your vent mounts?

Mike, awesome...however, I'm a noob at this tuning thing. What do you mean unlocked and unmarried? Do I have to disassociate my Trinity with my car somehow?

AC vent mounts, hopefully the mods don't yell at me for sizing:

If you have used the Trinity to tune the car, you should restore the stock tune to the car before they flash it with something else.

Ok Mike, got another question for you in regards to topic. I should be getting my car back today. The shop is restoring the stock tune this morning as you suggested we do, and then tuning with the SCT. When I get my car back this evening, I want to upload the shop tune to my Trinity. Is it as simple as that? Just upload my tune to the Trinity and it will function as it did before I gave it over to the shop? I will not have any issues with uploading and then playing around with minor things such as speedo cal, turning off my TCS, or set speed/rpm limits? Basically, after uploading, will my Trinity function as normal mounted in my ride...cruising, playing around, etc? Let me know if I am a bit confusing...morning is just starting here.

correct, just do not install any of the performance tunes, select the modify stock tune and make changes through there.
