Default Clear a SCT Tuner

I had a 2000 v6 mustang tuned it then sold it and now have a 2004 GT mustang. If i take the tuner and set the v6 back to stock will that clear the tuner so that i can tune my new GT?

Call SCT and they will help you clear the tuner! I believe they will do this 2 -3 times before charging you!

Xcal is rated for up to 5 uses. i had a 2006 GT with a Xcal2. Returned to stock and then used it again on my 99 Cobra.

You must return the V6 to stock to free the tuner up..I wouldn't call SCT

If you still have the car and are able to return the SCT tuner to stock that's great! If not, I helped a club member purchase a pre-owned SCT tuner which was "LOCKED". I called SCT and they were gracious enough to assist with unlocking the tuner. They may require a small charge, but compared to buying a new tuner its a cheap solution.
