Can I turn off the rear cats on my 09 GT with my Predator? Are there any other adjustments to the tune I should make when I remove the cats?

disabling any emissions control devices will require a custom tune.

if just removing the cats, there is not much need for any other tune changes, if adding headers, they should be addressed in the tune as well.

Well, that didn't work. I got P0430 and P0420 on the highway last night. Both cat related codes. Time for a custom tune.

I received a Diablosport Predator with my 2007 GT500 when purchased used. How can I tell if the tune is installed? Will the tune turn off the top speed limiter?

 

Go to options/show last tune written, it will tell you what the last tune put in the car was.
This will not however tell you if the vehicle had maybe been flashed back to stock by a dealer...was it purchased from a Ford dealer?

 

With the tool powered up, go to options, show last tune written. Whatever it says was the last tune written, is what is in your vehicle. Yes, the tool can turn off the top speed limiter.

 

Hi. I have the pc7140 and just installed the procharger. For the past 12 hrs I was getting stumped on why car wouldn't run more than 10 secs. I noticed when checking trouble codes I was getting codes for the throttle body. Dummy me then realized that I have a bbk 62 mm TB installed. So currently I have the bama tune installed and the car runs. Can you guys help me with what I need to do so I can install the S/C tune so it'll run with the TB? Thanks!

 

The only way to get the vehicle to run properly with that throttle body would be to get a custom tune through a cmr dealer. Aside from that, you can use the Procharger tune that is in the tool, but you would need to install the stock throttle body. The way I did mine until I get my custom tune is I used some spark plug non foulers on the rear 02s. Works well and haven't had an issue for 10k miles now.
