Default Need help j2534 & XML vs xdf

I am trying to flash my ecu via the j2534 pass-thru. I have no idea how to create an xml file from an xdf file. Tunerpro is not able to save definitions as xml. Nor is there a j2534 plugin for tunerpro. All other software I have found requires xml, and won't accept xdf code. Can anyone point me In the right direction?

I wouldn't even attempt it.

There is no converter tool from XDF to XML. (I looked). Also, from what I've read about XDF, it's not meant to be read by machines and humans (XML). XDF is strictly a machine language code. You can open an XDF file in Acrobat and maybe manually code an XML file but if you make a mistake, you will brick your ECU and even the dealer may not be able to help you unbrick it. To even attempt that, you would need an XML template to know what the various fields are that need editing.

I would contact Tunepro and just ask them for the proper cable to perform the transfer from their software to the car or take a look at their Forum. http://forum.tunerpro.net/

I was trying to convert for use in enginuity, but that software still couldn't load my bin after manual creation of xml file. Its impossible for tunerpro to flash over j2534. I may have to code something. Tunerpro is neither here nor there. Just looking for an open source solution to flashing a ford eec-v with a universal j2534 cable
