Thats what I was thinkin'.... maybe thats for earlier models, or for an entirely different make of vehicle... But it definitely doesnt look like its going to work for your car... I would let them know...

Talking to RPM and they say all their kits from mac dont have the fenderwell gasket, and the kit should fit as there were others that have installed it without any problems

I bought it from ebay, but it was actually from Central Florida Motorsports (CFM Performance), which I believe is actually a vendor on this site....

Can you send them my pic and ask them how YOURS is going to fit like this?? Mines an 04 and we have "near" identical engines. Besides, all MAC kits for our year will fit ALL 99-04 V6 models... Yours just ISNT going to fit.... Especially since theres no fenderwell gasket. Thats not a MAC kit, MAC includes EVERYTHING you need... How much did you pay for it?

Within the last month or so MAC revised their 99-04 3.8 mustang cold air kits. The maf to TB tubing is now straight with a coupler that has a bend in it. I thought it was rather odd when I opened the first changed one, but those after it were identical. All of the boxes here that I opened with v6 cold air kits that have come in the last 2 months no longer have that blue ring in the fenderwell plate.
Aereon received the correct part number and it's identical to what I have here on the shelf.

And yes, it is a MAC kit. There's a MAC barcode right on the box.
