Default Help My Girlfriend Out

Hi every one, my name is Josh. My girlfriend has an '01 Mustang V6 that her grandparents were nice enough to buy her. The car is white and has the standard sound system. Also it did not have leather but the dealer added in gray leather after they bought it. She's a bit board (it seems every white Mustang around here is driven by a blonde girl-just like her) with it and she was hopping to get one of the new '05 or '06 Mustangs, but it's out of her budget at the moment. I was wondering what mods could be done to help her enjoy her Mustang a bit more and set it aside from all the other ones? Keep in mind she is a college student and would be paying for all this on her own with little help from her mom. Any input is welcome and I was hoping to give her a list (with prices) of things she could do. Any order to mod in would help out too!

Exterior:
It's white and I know you can't do much with that unless it's repainted. She likes the "clear corner" look and I told her I would do it for her (I did it on my Audi...but I think it was less involved). Also she wants to do the sequential tail light mod and I told her I would help out with this too. Is there anything else she could do to set her car apart from all the other white mustangs out there?

Interior:
She feels the interior is a little plain inside, she really liked the interior on the new Mustangs. She was thinking about those "glow gauges" and was hoping to find one that was purple.

Performance/Handling/etc:
She realizes her car isn't the fastest out there but I think she is ok with it. I was thinking she could probably add an intake to give it some more pickup. I was also thinking about springs (would she need shocks too - I know with the Audis you do) since she feels it's unstable at high speeds (the freeway lol).

Electronics:
She feels the stock radio is decent but would love to have a 6-disc. I work at Best Buy and have car audio knowledge (with experience on a friend's mustang) so I could help her with a system.

Again any input is welcome, thanks for your help!

Sounds like you guys know what you want to do! A CAI, dual exhaust, and some simple exterior mods should be a good start. Does she have rims? A nice set of chrome rims would look really nice on a white stang! The chin spoiler is a good mod too, and somewhat cheap. Does she have her windows tinted?? That was my first mod, and a MUST, imo

Exterior...... she could get a mach 1 chin spoiler, shortie antena (what ever size she likes, I have a 14"), Cobra head lights, you could take it to a shop and get tons of Mustang paint job set ups done like a Mach 1 or a Boss look for fairly cheap, like $1000 or less cheap, 17" rims (see tirerack.com), window tint.
Interior.............. Personally I find that the sn95s, that's 94-04, have the best interior designs ever made for a stang. I find the new 05-06s plain, and so do most other people. But she can always get billit parts, or get a custom interior paint job, yet again, that will be expensive, or she could get racing seats, which or on the border line of being expensive.
Performance wise.......... LOOK AT MY SIG, that will free up some hp, and give her a nice deal of throttle responce, now of course you'd have to get stuff for her year, but you'll get the picture. Actually it's the springs that increase handling and looks, not the shocks. High speeds, free way [sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif] ......................................... oh that was a good laugh, even at 2 AM those two things don't go together, try like 130 mph, now that's "HIGH SPEED" for a lightly moded V6, never pushed her quite that high, but went to 124 and she was still going, but I think 130 would of been the cut off.
Sterio.................. now I'm going to trust your knowledge, but get her a single disk changer, they look better, and you won't have to go to your trunk or wherever the CD changer is to change out your 6 CD cartrage, my dad had that on his show F-150 and while it was really nice not having to change from favorite cd to favorite cd, if you wanted to change the cartrage, there came the problem as it was in the corner of the back seat, hardly practical if your on a long drive.

Haha well I know what I would do but it's her car and her money so the final say is with her. She doesn't have rims yet or tint but I think tint would help alot. Where could I locate a chin spoiler and what else do I need to know about that?

Thanks, what are different about the cobra head lights than the ones on her car? Thanks for your help i'll check out your sig for sure. About the springs I was asking does she need springs and shocks at the same time or if we just put on some springs will the stock shocks last? I know with my Audi the stock shocks (even with the sports package) would give out after a while with lower springs.

Haha, hey what can I say. Actually her taste is pretty good I wouldn't be too worried.

Thanks. Does any one know pricing on these things? My friend got a new muffler on his Ford truck and it was like $200, but for the whole system wouldn't it be more like 5-600? Also wouldn't she need a new bumper or do you just cut it? What springs are recommended or do most people use?

EDIT: I just noticed the stickies in the forum but still any input is welcome!
