Default Would it equal out?

If you had two mustangs....same year and options EXCEPT one was a V8 and the other a V6. If you kept the GT stock but upgraded the V6 to have the exact same horse power of the V8 would it be just as fast/turn out the same 1/4 time?

Basically Im asking....would a V6 be just as fast/turn out 1/4 times as a V8 if it had the same HP? Thanks.

It's not always about horsepower... If you had the exact same HP, I bet you would fall short on the TQ.

no offense but this is a rly stupid question because there are too many variables that factor in.

LOL this is a werid question but yes if it had the same power and torq then yes it would be the same speed. Speed is about numbers which ever way you chooce to make it 6 or 8 or 4. It's just in real life you couldn't get a 6 to make the same torq curve either way.

Also, when you say same RWHP and TQ, those are just peak numbers and they are just bragging rights off the dyno.. Everything under the curve is where the difference is going to show.. Too many variables that could change all outcomes..

the V8 would win based on the fact that the sixes have open differentials so the V8 would get better traction...not to mention stock they have better wheels. If you were to change that, then, well, who knows!

I'd have to agree.. and even if the same HP the 6 would need to turn more RPM. The case then may be reliability. Hands down Cubic Inches Rule..
