Default Window Motor

My driver side window motor isn't working right. When you push the button to make it go down for just a bit, it goes ALL THE WAY DOWN.

Should I have my dad attempt to fix it or just replace it?

If you just touch the down button, it goes all the way down. You can't just crack the window. The passenger side doesn't do that.

There's nothing wrong with it. That's how it's supposed to work. Don't ya just hate that thing?

The window didn't do that before when I first purchased it and my mother's car doesn't do it either. Now I understand why my father hates power windows. LOL! It's just another thing that has to be fixed.

It doesn't need to be fixed. That's the way it is supposed to work.

I find it hard to believe to make the window go halfwaydown, the window has to go all the way to the bottom and then the driver has to push the up button and stop it at the desired location. What was Ford thinking?

No, if you hold the button down, as opposed to tapping it, you can let off when you want the window to stop. If you just tap the button down it will drop to the bottom automatically.
