the amount some of these guys spend on their six...they might as well have saved to get a gt
but some people are loyal to the sixers so i dunno...
the pre 99's arent even worth spending money at all period...my 2 cents
i got a six cuz of insurance reasons....many reckless driving tickets

justin at VMP is running 17 psi through stock internals
i would say 4.2 because i remember seeing the parts for less then a grand i believe. PM cobra232 on this he knows everthing on the essex. Its a small HP jump but a big torque advantage.

With 15 psi, you'd better upgrade the internals too.

like others have suggested, go with a 15psi (or higher) turbo kit from tmaturbo.com. then grab some 4.1 gears, tlok and go race some GTs.

because with the 6 you can hold more than 600rwhp no problem
the 5.0 above 450rwhp has serious core shift issues and usually don't last long above 500rwhp and a stock block. if ya have an aftermarket block that's a different story. and please don't argue this this has been a problem with the 302 since the late 60's in SCCA with the old tunnel port 302's and BOSS 302's

Why dump so much money into your 6?
Sell it....buy a fox....and build yourself a monster

not to mention the fact that above 5500 rpms or so the 5.0 block could actually crack in half. and pre 99s are only worth money spending money on if you know how to shop wisely
