They save you from severe whiplash in the case of getting rear ended...Leave them on.

There should be a small little button under the headrest if it is flat against the seat, and you keep pulling up when it feels like it doesn't want to come off- I had a bit of a problem taking mine off for my seat covers to go on.

That's why I need to take them off, for seat covers. Looks like crap if you don't get it under the headrest. I have to take the seat belt bracket off which you can't remove without removing the headrest. Thanks for the tip mystic. I'll take a look today.

Just don't get it. Lifted the headrest all the way up. There's a plastic piece that the headrest bracket fits into which you can lift up but I still can't get the thing off. It feels like there's a locking mechanism in there some where but I can't find where to trip it. Anybody work with thisbefore. I may have to call a dealer.

you have to take them off from the INSIDE of the seat..meaning you have to actually take the seats out and get under them and find the lever..its a real pain..at least on my year.
